About Us

In 1999, Udi Hen, a 20-year-old college student in Los Angeles, was inspired by icons like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tony Robbins, and Warren Buffet. After reading "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham, Udi’s fascination with investing and entrepreneurship took off. A key moment came when he sold a textbook through Amazon, sparking his entrepreneurial journey.

In 1999, Udi’s career began when he invested in a new construction luxury, eco-friendly community project in Costa Rica, called 'Kalia Living', which led him to introduce innovative, energy-saving technologies to the U.S. 

In 2006, he and close friend, Steve Penwel, founded US International Design Inc (USID), providing custom glass mosaics to high-profile clients and shows like "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". During these years Udi got to work with many celebrities , investors and influencers along the way. 

In 2015, Udi co-founded Dream Home Solar, offering advanced energy solutions such as solar systems, cool roofs, and high SEER air-conditioning along with luxury home-remodeling services. The company gained visibility on 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien' and serviced Costco Members. 

By 2017, Udi reinvested in Amazon, aligning with its customer-centric philosophy. 

In 2021, Udi used his Amazon profits, years of experience and his california contractor license to launch Energy Star Remodeling Inc., specializing in luxury finishes and complete home renovations for residential, commercial, and multi-residential properties. The mission is to deliver exceptional quality, outstanding customer service, and competitive pricing.
